At AET, we’re pleased to have been able to support National Reconciliation Week for several years. However, reconciliation isn’t something that happens one week of the year, we work toward reconciliation every day through our values and actions as well as through our work.
What is reconciliation?
At its heart, reconciliation is about strengthening relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and non-Indigenous peoples, for the benefit of all Australians.

What is National Reconciliation Week?
National Reconciliation Week is a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements, and to explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia.
This year marks the twentieth anniversary of the reconciliation walks of 2000, when people came together to walk on bridges and roads across the nation and show their support for a more reconciled Australia.
The theme for National Reconciliation Week 2020 is ‘In this together’.
How do we support Native Title groups and indigenous communities?
This year we wanted to show you three of the ways we support Native Title groups and indigenous communities through our Native Title services and the AET Discretionary Grants program. Read the profiles below to find out more.
