As one of the largest providers of Native Title trustee services, we recognise the importance of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander customs and culture and are proud to once again sponsor National Reconciliation Week (NRW) in 2018.

The theme for NRW 2018 is ‘Don’t Keep History A Mystery’ and Reconciliation Australia invites all Australians to learn more about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and histories, to share that knowledge and help us grow as a nation.

To show our support, we are participating in the ‘2018 Street Banner Project’ in Perth and two AET-sponsored banners will be flying in the Murray and Hay Street malls.

Launching our Reconciliation Action Plan

We’re also pleased to launch our Reconciliation Action Plan this week. Today, we are in better position than ever before to use our expertise, past experience and networks to engage with Traditional Owners and to raise awareness of their issues in order to address inequality within our society.

We have developed this Reconciliation Action Plan to increase the cultural awareness of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples – for all our employees at a national level. Our vision is to create a workplace culture that is respectful towards Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and their unique place in society. Our RAP seeks to:

  • Break down stereotypes and discrimination
  • Show respect
  • Engage
  • Offer our expertise
  • Create opportunity
